PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide drop-shaped copper powder produced more inexpensively compared with flake copper powder produced using the conventional physical means, and having excellent powder properties. SOLUTION: The drop-shaped copper powder is directly obtained by a wet process without using a physical means, and has a drop-shape whose surface is provided with fine ruggedness. Further, regarding the method for producing drop-shaped copper powder, ammonium ions or ammonium ions and amino acid are added to a copper sulfate solution, so as to produce a solution comprising a copper ammine complex, an alkali metal hydroxide salt-containing solution is added thereto, so as to be reacted, a reducing agent I and a reducing agent II are added thereto, thus copper is crystallized out, so as to be filtered away, and cleaning and drying are performed.
