PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that, though D-glucosamic acid is the starting material for the asymmetric synthesis of various amino acids and is also expected in use as an anticancer agent since it can be converted into a chelating agent of platinum ions, and, as its production methods, a chemical process and a biochemical process are adopted, regarding the chemical process, there are problems in the low yield, the complicated processes or the like, and, regarding the biochemical process, also, there are many problems to be solved in conditional control, the difficulty of mass production or the like. SOLUTION: Regarding the method in this invention, using a metal solid electrode, by the potential control of the metal solid electrode, D-glucosamic acid can be safely and inexpensively produced from D-glucosamine with easiness at a high yield without using powdery metal catalysts or microorganisms in the conventional methods and without generating by-products.
