The sensor system (SS) has a sensor device (SE1), which is operated independent of its operating condition with a current strength. Another sensor device (SE2) is operated independent of its operating condition with another current strength. The sensor devices are interconnected with a comparator circuit (KS) such that information about the total-current strength is supplied via a signal line of the comparator circuit. Outputs (A1-A4) of the comparator circuit are supplied to evaluation logic (AL), which determines the operating condition of the sensor devices.
