<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To notify a suitable vehicle position by transmitting latest position information to a service center even when an emergency notification stat trigger occurs while position information cannot be acquired from a navigation system. <P>SOLUTION: This on-vehicle emergency notification device 2 stores position information acquired by a positioning part 8 by autonomous positioning instead of position information acquired from the navigation system 3 when position information cannot be acquired from the navigation system 3 due to the occurrence of a fault in the navigation system 3 or a communication line while the navigation system 3 is activated, and thereafter transmits the stored position information to the service center 13 if the emergency notification start trigger occurs. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
