<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide titanium based oxide glass expected to have high refractive index in a bulky state which has not been obtained before. <P>SOLUTION: The titanium based oxide glass is in the bulky state and has a composition practically expressed by formula, (M1)<SB>1-x</SB>(M2)<SB>x</SB>(Ti<SB>1-y1</SB>(M3)<SB>Y1</SB>)<SB>Y2</SB>O<SB>z</SB>, wherein M1 is one kind of element selected from Ba, La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, Lu, Na and Ca, M2 is at least one kind of element selected from Mg, Ba, Ca, Sr, La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, Lu, Na, Sc, Y, Hf, Bi and Ag, M3 is at least one kind of element selected from V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Zr, Nb, Mo, Ru, Rh, Pd, Al, Si, P, Ga, Ge, In, Sn, Sb and Te. The x, y1, y2 and z satisfy such relations that 0≤x≤0.5, 0≤y1<0.31, 1.4<y2<3.2, 3.9<z<8.0, x+Y1≠0 when M1 is Ba, y1≠0 when M1 and M2 are Ba. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
