PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical cable splitter capable of branching live lines. SOLUTION: This is a tool for splitting an optical cable to take out optical fibers. It is composed of upper and lower levers 1A, 1B that are freely opened/closed and a cable jacket splitting part 4 that is provided with splitter blades 41A, 41B. The optical fibers are taken out by closing the upper and lower levers 1A, 1B, positioning the splitter blades 41A, 41B at a position opposing the notch of the optical cable, and moving the splitter blades 41A, 41B in the longitudinal direction of the optical cable.
