PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a useful photosensitive acid hair dye composition stable even if being strongly acidic, high in fluidity, good in touch feeling in use, free from color migration to the skin, clothing, etc., after use, needing no rinsing, unremarkably hiding gray hair in a single use, dyeing the hair including gray hair to stable color in use four to five times, excellent in color fastness, thus high in practicability. SOLUTION: The photosensitive acid hair dye composition is such as to essentially contain 0.01-1% of an acid dye and 0.01-5% of a silver salt and be compounded with 0.1-10% of an acid as pH adjuster, 1-20% of an aromatic alcohol as penetrant, 1-30% of a lower alcohol as solvent, 0.01-5% of a polymeric compound as thickening agent, and 0-5% of sulfur.
