METHOD OF PREVENTING MISFIRE OF DIESEL ENGINE HAVING AT LEAST ONE SPARKING PLUG

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method which can detect a combustion state by making use of an ion signal used by feedback control of a reciprocating engine. SOLUTION: The device controls EGR and diesel injection timing by using the ion signal as a feedback signal. Then the device is an ignition system having a sparking plug type sensor. By using the ignition system, a cold-start mechanism is provided to a diesel engine, and combustion of a spark-ignition engine is started.
