The heat engine has cylinder (11) with a piston area (11a) and a cylinder base (13). The cylinder base has a valve opening with a valve (17) for an inlet and outlet of a drive medium (22). The valve has a closing surface (17a), which closes in closed position shortly with the internal surface (14) of the cylinder base. An independent claim is also included for a valve control for a heat engine.
