FIELD: process for preparing of fresh bulb onion for storage in order to use it in space feeding. ^ SUBSTANCE: method involves succession of processes including: extracting biomass of Pythium ultimum micromycet using non-polar extractant in super-critical state, water, alkali, water, acid, water, alkali, and water; joining first extract with solid residue for producing of preparation from biomass; sterilizing distilled water, gauze wads and smoking paper; preparing on the basis of sterilized distilled water 70%-ethyl alcohol solution and 0.01%-suspension of preparation produced from biomass; inspecting bulb onion; washing in sweet running water; holding in suspension of said preparation at room temperature during 5 min; drying at temperature of 30±5 C until residual moisture content of upper scale is 18-20%; removing non-tightly adhering covering scale; cutting-off neck part and cleaning base of each onion bulb; wiping each onion bulb with sterilized gauze wad soaked in ethyl alcohol solution and exposing opposite sides of each bulb to ultraviolet radiation during 30 min at radiation intensity of 1.5-2.5 W/m3; packaging each of said onion bulbs under aseptic conditions into smoking paper and laying packaged bulbs in single layer into sterile polymeric trays. ^ EFFECT: prolonged storage time of bulb onion. |
