PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting element which is usable in the fields of display elements, flat panel displays, backlights, illuminations, interior, signs, signboards, electronic cameras, optical signal generators, etc., requires low drive voltage, and has a long life. SOLUTION: The light-emitting element includes a light-emitting layer which contains a light-emitting material and an aromatic amine having hole transportability, and an electron transporting layer which is made of an element selected from elements of carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen, silicon, and phosphorus and contains a compound composed of a heteroaryl ring structure containing an electron-accepting nitrogen.
