PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems wherein when a traveling vehicle body is switched to reverse traveling, even though the transmission to a seedling planting rod is stopped automatically by automatic cutoff of the transmission to a seedling transplanter, the seedling planting rod cannot stop at a defined point, and since the rod is stopped on the way of a planting orbit, when the operation is restarted, troubles such as damage to the transplanting rod in the ground, the timing for start of planting going out of order, and the like occur. SOLUTION: In the seedling transplanter, the seedling planting rod is constituted to stop at a definite point by connecting to a clutch for stopping at the definite point, and the travel vehicle body is constituted so that the transmission to the seedling planting rod is cut off, when a forward/backward travel-switching device is operated in the backward travel;and the clutch for stopping at the definite point is operated automatically with an on/off control, when the forward/backward travel-switching device is subsequently operated in the forward travel.
