The method involves assigning of an individual node address to each slave in predetermined sequence. The bus has a slave by using a Local interconnect network protocol(LIN) of the layer 2 and the LIN specifications. An individual identifier is assigned to each slave for the operation of the data frame. The multiple slaves (S1 to S4) are determined from a bus setup at each slave. A check sum (3') is computed over all received user data bytes (2') of the slaves and determining at all slaves. An observation window (WW) is opened for finite duration after sending the check sum. An independent claim is also included for an arrangement for implementation of a method, has the slaves, which are formed as industrial switching components.
