The roof (10) has a deployment unit with a slider (24) movably guided in a guide rail (26). A deployment lever (18) has a connecting unit pivot section (30) between a vehicle-sided end (18-1) and a cover-sided end (18-2) of the lever, where the section engages in a slider connecting unit (28) of the deployment unit for pivoting the lever, when the slider is moved. A connecting line connects a vehicle-sided transverse axis (20-1) and a cover-sided transverse axis (20-2) with each other in a ventilation position, where the axes are provided at the ends and run in a longitudinal direction.
