The invention relates to a method for producing a water duct with water-conducting surfaces for a water turbine or another hydraulic motor by means of a casting process. Said method comprises the following steps: two or several longitudinal sections (8.1, 8.2, 8.3) are joined to form a core, the shape and position of the outer surface of said core matching the water-conducting surfaces of the duct or the shape thereof having a slightly smaller dimension than the water-conducting surfaces of the duct; the core is cast into concrete or another age-hardenable casting material; and the longitudinal sections of the core are successively removed from the created duct once the casting material is hard.
