RADIO BASE STATION, WIRELESS TERMINAL AND MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

Even when the communication with a radio base station becomes impracticable, a mobile unit present in the wireless communication area of the radio base station is allowed to transmit/receive data to/from a mobile communication network. A mobile communication system comprises radio base stations and wireless terminals. The each of the radio base stations includes a determining part that determines whether a wireless communication service can be continuously used; and a transmitting part that transmits an emergency mode signal to the wireless terminals present in the wireless communication area of the radio base station when the determining part determines that the wireless communication service cannot be continuously used. Each of the wireless terminals includes a first receiving part that receives the emergency mode signal transmitted by the radio base station; a setting part that sets the communication mode to an emergency mode when the emergency mode signal is received; a second receiving part that receives emergency information when the emergency mode is established; and a first transmitting part that forwards the emergency information to a radio base station different from the radio base station having transmitted the emergency mode signal or to another wireless terminal having set to its emergency mode.
