FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an improved method for synthesis of alpha,beta-unsaturated fatty acid esters. Method involves interaction of maleic acid esters with terminal alkenes comprising above four carbon atoms in the presence of metathesis as a catalyst at temperature from 20°C to 90°C.
