<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot water storage type water heater that can decide the degradation of heat insulation performance of a heat-insulating material. <P>SOLUTION: This hot water storage type water heater comprises a hot water storage tank 1, the heat-insulating material 3 covering the hot water storage tank 1, and a temperature-detecting means 9 for detecting the surface temperature of the heat-insulating material 3, and further has an abnormality deciding means 7 for deciding the abnormality of the heat-insulating material, that is, an abnormal state of the heat-insulating material 3, when the detected value of the temperature-detecting means 9 is larger than a prescribed value. The degradation of the heat-insulating performance due to aged deterioration of the heat-insulating material 3, or the degradation of heat insulation performance due to the abnormality of the heat-insulating material 3 that occurs at the execution of work or at transportation can be detected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
