<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulverized toner which prevents aggregation caused by mass, is inexpensive and has high safety, and to provide a developing device, a process cartridge, an image forming apparatus and an image forming method using the pulverized toner. <P>SOLUTION: The pulverized toner to be used for a vertical type developing device is a wax-containing pulverized toner for nonmagnetic single component development. The toner contains at least a wax-containing resin, a coloring material and an external additive, the average circularity of the pulverized toner is 0.890 to 0.930, the particle diameter of the pulverized toner is 6 to 10 μm, and the pulverized toner shows a torque value of 1.0 to 2.5 mNm at 58% porosity of the toner measured by a torque measuring method using a conical rotor.
