<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authentication system for accurately performing user authentication and detecting a position of the user. <P>SOLUTION: The system includes a tag 1 to be carried by the user and a base station 10 communicating with the tag 1, and performs user authentication between the tag 1 and the base station 10. The tag 1 has a light emission means 2 for transmitting a portion or whole of information by light to the base station 10. The base station 10 includes a camera 14 for photographing the light from the emission means 2, and a control means 12 for performing the user authentication by using the light photographed with the camera 14 and detecting the position of the emission means 2 from the photographed light. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
