PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information reading/writing apparatus capable of establishing a high response application while avoiding interference of electric waves output by a plurality of information reading/writing apparatus.

SOLUTION: In the information reading/writing apparatus, a tag communication part 120 includes: an electric wave transmission part 121 and an electric wave receiving part 122 for performing communication with a radio tag 100; and a received intensity measuring part 124 for measuring electric wave intensity of electric waves received by the electric wave receiving part 122. A control part 110 comprises ambient environment judging means 114 for detecting reception conditions of an electric wave to determine whether transmission is possible; transmission execution time management means 115 for managing transmission execution time the electric wave transmission part 121 executes electric wave transmission; transmission waiting time management means 116 for starting electric wave transmission for reading of the radio tag 100 by another information reading/writing apparatus 102 different from a self information reading/writing apparatus 101; and condition judgement means 117 for adjusting transmission execution time in response to predetermined specified condition concerning communication with the radio tag 100.
