摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separator for a fuel cell in which contact resistance between a separator and an electrode is maintained at a low value in an oxidizing environment, which is superior in corrosion resistance, and which is reduced in cost. <P>SOLUTION: This is equipped with a base layer 12 composed of stainless steel containing at least Fe and Cr, and a nitride layer 11 formed on this base layer. The nitride layer 11 is equipped with a first layer 111 composed of a nitride of stainless steel containing at least Fe and Cr, and a second layer 112 which is formed on this first layer 111, which is composed of the nitride of which the content of the composition is different from that of the first layer 111, and which has an exposed surface. From this first layer 111 to the second layer 112, this has a composition distribution in which Cr concentration changes continuously in the thickness direction of these layers, and on the exposed surface, this second layer 112 has a deposit 112a of the nitride protruded from the base part of this surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
