PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plug side connector easily pressing operated, suppressing sliding, and capable of steadily transmitting a pressing force. SOLUTION: This is the plug side connector 1 which is insertion engaged with a mating connector 2 as a housing main body 200 is pressed in engagement direction toward the mating connector 2 while accompanied by elastic deformation of a spring member 300 and in which displacement in engagement and separation direction is fixed as the spring member 300 is locked to the mating connector 2 by elastic recovery of the spring member 300. The pressing part 600 to be pressed in engagement direction at the pressing operation side end part 200R is provided with a slanted face 611 formed so that the pressing part 600 may be enlarged as it comes closer to the engagement side end part 200F, and projections 611a are formed on the slanted face 611.
