PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stepladder which becomes one straight line by being folded and enables self-standing by being opened and is excellent in stability during use. SOLUTION: The foldable stepladder comprises leg parts 101, 102, 103, 104 which are turnably joined at a top part, a central axis 110 which is supported to freely move in an axial direction, a fixing block 112 at the lower end of the central axis 110, a middle slide block 113, a stopper 111 at the upper end of the central axis, footplates 121, 122 each having one end turnably coupled to the leg part and the other end turnably coupled to the fixing block or the slide block, and a reinforcing spacer 130 which is provided between the fixing block and the slide block and comprises a large cylindrical body 132 and a small cylindrical body 131. The reinforcing spacer 130 is changed into a reduced storage state where the small cylindrical body 131 is put in the large cylindrical body 132 and into an extended use state where the large cylindrical body 132 and the small cylindrical body 131 are overlapped with each other.
