PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photocurable coating composition effectively constructing crosslinked site when using an organopolysiloxane having a radically reactive functional group, and an article comprising a cured film formed from the composition. SOLUTION: This photocurable coating composition comprises a (meth)acryloxy group-containing organopolysiloxane expressed by formula (1): R<SB>a</SB>R<SP>A</SP><SB>b</SB>Z<SB>c</SB>SiO<SB>(4-a-b-c)/2</SB>, wherein R is a hydrogen atom or a monovalent organic group except R<SP>A</SP>; R<SP>A</SP>is an organic group containing a (meth)acryloxy group; Z is a hydroxy group or a hydrolyzable group; a is 0.50-2.30, b is 0.10-1.00, c is 0-0.60 and the sum a+b+c is a positive number of 0.60-3.50, and comprises also a (PhSiY<SB>3</SB>) unit in the molecule, wherein Ph is a phenyl group; Y is selected from a siloxane residue, hydroxy group and hydrolyzable group provided that at least one of Y is a siloxane residue.
