PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair cosmetic which has an excellent effect for recovering the jumped-up or undulated hairs into an original state and can impart good touch to the hairs. SOLUTION: This hair cosmetic comprises the following components (A) to (C): (A) a cationic surfactant, (B) an 8-30C aliphatic alcohol, and (C) a quaternary ammonium salt represented by general formula (1) [R<SP>1</SP>is a 6-18C hydrocarbon group; R<SP>2</SP>and R<SP>3</SP>are each identically or differently a 1-3C alkyl; (n) is an integer of 0 to 2; X<SP>-</SP>is an anion], wherein the rate of≤10C hydrocarbon groups in all the hydrocarbon groups R<SP>1</SP>is 30 to 100 mass% as a chemical formula weight of R<SP>1</SP>, and the rate of the remainders are≥11C hydrocarbon groups.
