PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical image processor which prepares a long length image or a difference image efficiently by automatically performing alignment with high precision. SOLUTION: According to the correlation between a template area and a search area set to two images photographed while moving their photographing positions in the direction of the body axis of a patient so as to superpose partially, the two images are aligned roughly. Thereafter, within a processing area extracted from a part registered roughly, the two images are aligned locally according to a shape featured value concerning the continuity of the shape of the back bone.
