PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cooker which prevents cooked rice from being dry without getting bleached by adhesive moisture. SOLUTION: The rice cooker is equipped with a rice cooker body 11, a heating means (an induction heating coil 17) which heats a cooking pot 10, a lid body 24 which blocks out the cooking pot 10, an exhaust passage 36 which communicates inside of the cooking pot 10 and outside, a sealing means (a relief valve 37) which opens the exhaust passage 36 and equilibrates pressure in the cooking pot 10 with atmospheric pressure while it blocks the exhaust passage 36 and pressurizes inside of the cooking pot 10, temperature detecting means (temperature sensors 19, 30) which detect temperature inside the cooking pot 10 or that of the cooking pot 10, a pressurizer means (a diaphragm pump 44) which blocks inside of the cooking pot 10 by the sealing means and gives pressure higher than atmospheric pressure without heating by the heating means in the cooking pot 10 and a control means (a microcomputer 53) which performs cooking control by controlling the heating means from detected values by the temperature detecting means and performs warm keeping control by controlling the heating means, the sealing means and the pressurizer means.
