The gauge (1) has a carrier foil (3) and a structured metal layer (4) for strain determination, where the structured metal layer is arranged on the carrier foil, where the metal layer is designed as metal foil. Another structured metal layer (5) is provided on the carrier foil, where the metal layer is temperature sensitive and is designed as thin layer. The structured metal layers are solderable, where the metal layer (4) exhibits nickel-chromium alloy, and the metal layer (5) comprises nickel, platinum and/or nickel gold layer system. An independent claim is also included for a method of manufacturing a strain gauge.
