An image processing device for converting an original image into an enlarged image enlarged with a reference point centered. The image processing device comprises a selecting section for selecting a pixel to be processed from the pixels constituting the enlarged image while using a coordinate point farthest from the reference point as a starting point, a calculating section for calculating the coordinate point on the original image mapped onto the coordinate point of the pixel to be processed, a read section for reading the pixel value of the pixel of the original image corresponding to the coordinate point of the original image from a recording medium, an interpolating section for interpolating the pixel value of the pixel to be processed by using the pixel value of the original image read by the read section, and a write section for writing the pixel value of the pixel to be processed interpolated by the interpolating section in a storage area of the recording medium other than the storage area where the pixel values of the pixels of the original image positioned in the same coordinate points as those of the pixel values of the pixels of the enlarged image not selected as the pixel to be processed are stored.
