<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laterally separable assist grip with excellent load resistance. <P>SOLUTION: This assist grip has an outer cylinder member, a first split body, a second split body, and an elastic reinforcing member. The first fitting end of the first split body is fitted to the second fitting end of the second split body in the outer cylinder member, and the elastic reinforcing member is interposed between the inner periphery of the outer cylinder member and the first fitting end.
