PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information retrieval device and an information retrieval program, allowing a user to easily find desired information. SOLUTION: This information retrieval device has: a related dictionary associating a word and a related word related to the word; a reception part receiving a retrieval word input by a user; a relevance degree calculation part calculating a word relevance degree between a word included in retrieval target information that is information set as a target of retrieval by the user, and the retrieval word received by the reception part in reference to the related dictionary; a classification part classifying the retrieval target information on the basis of the word relevance degree calculated by the relevance degree calculation part; and an output part outputting a classification result by the classification part as a retrieval result of the retrieval target information.
