PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the product cost and the development term of an optical scanner having an imaging element which images light emitted from a light source onto an image plane and an image forming apparatus, and to uniformize the optical characteristic in image height by suppressing the temperature gradient of the imaging element generated by the environment variation such as the temperature rise in the apparatus. SOLUTION: The imaging element 5 which images the light emitted from a semiconductor laser light source 2 onto a photoreceptor 6 is held by an optical box 1 in the optical scanner, wherein the imaging element 5 is fixed on the optical box 1 via an intermediate member 7. Further, the heat conduction rate of the intermediate member 7 is set so as to be lower than the heat conduction rate of the optical box 1. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
