<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of drive motors for transmitting drive force to respective toner containers, and then to transmit the drive force of the drive motor to the respective toner containers. <P>SOLUTION: The drive mechanism for the toner containers 20 attachably/detachably attached to a plurality of developing devices 134 provided in a printer 10 respectively corresponding to them and respectively supplying developer to the respective developing devices 134 by the driving of an internally provided spiral feeder 26 is equipped with: the drive motor 40 disposed by one every two toner containers 20; and a drive force transmission switching mechanism 30 transmitting the drive force of each drive motor 40 by selectively switching it to the spiral feeder 26 on the side of either of the two toner containers 20. The drive force of the drive motor 40 is transmitted to the spiral feeder 26 through the drive force transmission switching mechanism 30 and a container-side gear 23 provided on the outside of the toner container 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
