<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnesia-carbon brick having excellent oxidation resistance, spalling resistance and corrosion resistance, and further having a longer service life in comparison with a conventional one. <P>SOLUTION: The magnesia-carbon brick is obtained by using a blend, obtained by blending 20-30 parts by weight of scaly graphite with 100 parts by weight of a magnesia source material comprising 10-60 wt.% of spherical magnesia particles each having a particle diameter of 5.0-1.0 mm, 5-30 wt.% of magnesia fine powder, and the balance being non-spherical magnesia particles each having a size of 5.0-1.0 mm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
