<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide high heat exchange efficiency even while simplifying a structure of an evaporator and compactifying it. <P>SOLUTION: The loop type heat pipe 1 is composed of the evaporator 3 carrying out cooling by using latent heat in evaporation of a working liquid, a steam pipe 9 carrying gas evaporated by the evaporator 3, a condenser 11 carrying out heat radiation and liquefaction of the gas from the steam pipe 9, and a liquid return pipe 13 carrying the working liquid liquefied by the condenser 11 to the evaporator. The evaporator 3 is provided at least with a pipe-shaped evaporator body 15 with a front end side communicated with the steam pipe 9 and a rear end side inserted into the liquid return pipe 13 to block it, a wick 17 inserted into an interior of the pipe-shaped evaporator body 15, and a sump part 7. An outgoing passage 23 communicated with the liquid return pipe 13 to carry the working liquid, and an incoming passage 27 communicated with the outgoing passage 23 and connected to the sump part 7 are provided in the wick 17. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
