PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a barrier device which enables a lens barrel to be made compact, and can prevent the movement of a barrier blade in an optical axis direction to thereby prevent the barrier blade from running out to an object side from a light incident aperture or from falling in the lens barrel. SOLUTION: The barrier device is equipped with: a plurality of barrier blades 5 and 6 covering over the light incident aperture of a photographic lens so as to freely open/close; biasing members 7 and 8 biasing the barrier blades 5 and 6 toward a closing position; and driving members 2 and 4 rotationally driven in normal and reverse directions around the optical axis of the photographic lens and moving the barrier blades 5 and 6 in opening and closing directions. The barrier blades 5 and 6 are provided with regulation parts 5c and 6c, and the driving member 4 is provided with abutting parts 4g and 4h abutting on the regulation parts 5c and 6c and regulating the moving range of the barrier blades 5 and 6 in the closing direction when the barrier blades 5 and 6 move in the closing direction.
