PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an overturning preventive device for a ladder capable of maximally securing safety of a ladder using state, by preventing a ladder from swinging in the backward and lateral direction from its leaning state to an installation object. SOLUTION: This overturning preventive device is composed of a baseplate 2 installed in a part of the ladder Y, a holding arm 4 tiltably installed on the upper side of the baseplate 2 and a receiving arm 6 tiltably installed on the lower side of the baseplate 2 and oppositely extended to the presser arm 2.
