The trim strip (1) is made of plastic and has an attached armoring material (2). The method involves preparing or manufacturing an in-plaster strip with a contact surface for the armoring strip, heating the surface in an area in which the material is to be fixed and setting it in a plastic state, applying a mounting area of the material to the contact surface and applying, preferably extruding at least one holding strip (4) of heated plastic to the mounting area of the armoring material.
