The system to heat a laser has a number of Peltier heating elements (4-6), a base plate and cooling body (9) together with an electronic heating power control (10). Sensors, linked to an evaluation unit (11), register the temperatures. A processor (12) processes the measured temperatures to set the heating power control. The measured values can be compared with an evaluation table to give the heating elements individual settings.
