COOLANT CLEANING DEVICE FOR MACHINE TOOL

A coolant cleaning device for a machine tool, having only a cleaning tank for containing cleaned coolant to reduce the installation space of the device and to eliminate the need of cleaning of the inside of the tank. The coolant cleaning device has a magnetic separation device for removing mainly magnetic substances from a used coolant, a nonmagnetic substance separation and filtration device for removing mainly nonmagnetic substances from the coolant with magnetic substances removed, a clean tank for containing the clean coolant with nonmagnetic substances removed, and a pump for drawing coolant and supplying it to the nonmagnetic substance separation and filtration device. In the clean tank is provided a hopper for receiving the coolant with magnetic substances removed by the magnetism separation device. The hopper has an inlet opening for receiving the clean coolant contained in the clean tank. The pump draws the coolant in the hopper together with a predetermined amount of clean coolant, which is taken in from the inlet opening, and supplies them to the nonmagnetic substance separation and filtration device.
