<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a socket for a chip LED, which can be easily mounted to equipment and, allows the chip LED to be attached and detached. <P>SOLUTION: A socket 1 for holding a chip LED 50 and electrically connecting the chip LED 50 and a cable 40 comprises a socket portion having a chip mounting portion whose upper surface opens and in which the chip LED 50 is to be inserted and a contact insertion hole which vertically penetrates at the bottom portion of the chip mounting portion, a fixing cover member 20 which is attached to the socket portion so that the opening of the chip mounting portion can be opened and closed and which is for holding the chip LED 50 inserted in the chip mounting portion so that the LED is fixed in the socket portion, and a contact 30 which projects in the chip mounting portion and which is for being in contact with the terminal of the chip LED 50 inserted in the chip mounting portion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
