PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress an increase of a circuit scale to enable writing of a pixel driving voltage of a high gray scale at a high speed. SOLUTION: An image data creating circuit 20 which creates the image data of (n) bit corresponding to each of a plurality of pixels, an analog voltage generating circuit 50 creating an analog ramp wave of the periodically changing voltage value in a prescribed range, and pixel voltage output means (40, 33, 34) which supply the voltage value of the ramp wave to the corresponding pixels at the timing complying with the image data are provided, and the analog voltage generating circuit 50 includes a D/A converter which creates staircase waves of the voltage value changing with time at a number of steps less than 2<SP>n</SP>, and an LPF which subjects the staircase waves to a filter processing. The pixel voltage output means (40, 33, 34) are configured to supply the voltage value of the analog ramp wave at the timing of the 2<SP>n</SP>times complying with the pixel data of the (n) bit during one period of the analog ramp wave to the corresponding pixel.
