PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic toner which achieves rapid charge rise, has excellent cleanability and is capable of forming a high-quality image of high definition and high density. SOLUTION: The toner satisfies a toner enveloping degree ä(L1-L2)/L2}×100 of 2.0-3.0, wherein L1 is the perimeter of a projected image of a toner particle 1 including a binder resin and a colorant; and L2 is the length of the envelope 5 of the projected image of the toner particle 1.
