摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control unit that reduces the amount of liquid-drop fuel while suppressing the occurrence of misfire at starting, in a control unit of internal combustion engine that injects liquid fuel toward intake port. SOLUTION: In the unit, either single-side opening valve mode in which only one of a pair of intake valves is opened/closed, while the other is kept in closed state, or both-side opening valve mode in which the both of a pair of intake valves are opened/closed at the same time can be selected, and either single-side injection mode in which fuel is injected toward only one intake port corresponding to the one of intake valves, or both-side injection mode in which fuel is injected toward both the intake ports of the pair of intake valves can be selected. Usually, the both-side opening valve mode and the both-side injection mode are selected. On the other hand, single-side opening valve mode and single-side injection mode are selected for only the first cycle in each cylinder after starting. In addition, one-side opening valve mode and one-side injection mode are selected in a time period when engine rotational speed NE is not greater than a reference value NE 1 even on completion of starting.
