PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for therapeutically inhibiting tumor proliferation in mammals, and a composition for the inhibition. SOLUTION: The purified human stress protein-peptide complex is isolated from a tumor tissue collected from human. The complex contains a stress protein selected from the group consisting of Hsp60, Hsp70, Hsp90 and gp96 each bonded to a peptide by a non-covalent bond. The selected tumor tissues include melanotic carcinoma, hepatocellular carcinoma, adenocarcinoma, squamous cell cancer, bronchial cancer, lymphoma, etc. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
