PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expansion valve reducing coolant passing noise and an amount of coolant leaking. SOLUTION: The expansion valve is characterized by that it is provided with a fixed member 1 having a first restriction hole connecting a first passage and a second passage and a first plane perpendicularly expanding with respect to the first restriction hole, and a valve member 2 having a second restriction hole connecting the first passage and the second passage and a second plane perpendicularly expanding with respect to the second restriction hole and sliding on the first plate, and moving while changing an overlapping opening area comprising an overlap of a first restriction hole opening and a second restriction hole opening while sealing the first plane and the second plane.
