FIELD: continuous flow systems for folding inserts. ^ SUBSTANCE: continuous flow system for folding inserts contains continuous roll of printing inserts and a cutting device for cutting off individual inserts from the roll. Transporting mechanism serially transports individual inserts further along into cassette folding machine, which receivers inserts and folds each insert at least along one folding line. Applicator serially received folded inserts from cassette folding machine and applies inserts onto consumer packs, such as cigarette packs. Folded inserts may be directly applied to packs before placement of flexible external cover, or folded inserts may be applied to flexible external cover before the cover is enveloped around packs. ^ EFFECT: ensured folding of inserts during continuous flow application of inserts onto packs. ^ 3 cl, 6 dwg
