HAIR COATING PRODUCT AND METHOD GIVING SUPERIOR ELASTICITY AND VOLUME TO HAIR

A hair cosmetic product and a hair treating method are provided to thicken the hair and increase tensile strength of the hair by forming an elastic film of a silicone rubber showing strong durability on the hair and a coating film on the hair, thereby improving the hair quality and maintaining volume of thin and non-strong hair for a long time. A product providing elasticity to hair comprises: a first composition including methylhydrogen polysiloxane represented by the formula(1)(wherein x is an integer from 10 to 300); a second composition including Zn or Sn; and a third composition including vinyl dimethicone represented by the formula(2)(wherein X is an integer from 100 to 100,000, and y is an integer from 100 to 100,000). A method for treating hair for providing elasticity comprises the steps of: (a) applying a composition including the methylhydrogen polysiloxane of the formula(1) to the hair; (b) promoting a reaction between the methylhydrogen polysiloxane and the hair surface using a composition including Zn or Sn and forming a first film; and (c) applying a composition including the vinyl dimethicone of the formula(2) to the hair to form a silicone rubber film.
