<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a propulsion method and a device for a marine vessel capable of being safely navigated even in shallow draft without using ballast water or while suppressing usage of the ballast water to the minimum. <P>SOLUTION: The propulsion device for the marine vessel is provided with a rudder 2 (support) provided on a hull 1; a reversal base 3 (rotation body) rotatably arranged on the rudder 2 making a rotation shaft in an approximately horizontal direction as a center; and a propulsion unit 4 connected to the reversal base 3 such that the rotation shaft and a drive shaft are made eccentric. Accordingly, a water depth position of the propulsion unit of the marine vessel can be changed and the marine vessel can be safely navigated even in shallow draft. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
